EU Referendum - Business as Usual for Agile IP

On 23 June 2016, a referendum held by the United Kingdom (UK) resulted in a narrow majority in favour of leaving the European Union (EU). This does not mean that the UK is no longer a member of the EU, but simply that the UK Government will now commence negotiations over a possible exit in due course which could take a number of years.
It is important to note that the European Patent Office (EPO) is not an EU organisation and the implications do not affect our ability to handle European Patents.
Agile IP remains entitled to file and act for clients in Community Trade Mark and Design Applications. If and when an EU exit does occur in the future, we have contingency measures in place to ensure we are able to act for clients in order to obtain the full range of European and Worldwide rights.
In the meantime, clients should be assured that existing European cases are not affected.
