Rob joined the Profession direct from University in 1997. He trained and qualified at a leading London firm where he worked for a wide range of SMEs and multinational clients, mainly in the semiconductor and mobile telephone sectors. In 2004 he joined the Intellectual Property Department of BT Group plc (formerly British Telecom) where he specialised in patent prosecution with a particular focus on so-called ‘new wave’ areas such as mobile broadband and Internet Protocol (IP) TV. Having returned to private practice, Rob has built a varied client base including a number of Far Eastern clients and local SMEs.

Rob regularly attends hearings at the European Patent Office in Munich and has in recent years been involved in a number of successful oppositions and appeals.
