Our clients regularly seek protection outside of the UK and Europe, and we are keen to expand our overseas partnerships. We are qualified to act before the UKIPO in patent, trade mark and design matters and EPO in respect to patent matters.

With regard to enforcement, the UK is a leader in the IP field with specialist IP Judges.  Specialist courts are also available, such as the Intellectual Entreprise Court ("IPEC") to which we have rights of audience. This Court provides various fast track stream line procedures with capped costs and damages to allow the Claimant to accurately assess their financial risk before initiating litigation.

The UK goverment also provides significant tax incentives to companies who own a UK patent.

In terms of overseas relationships, we regularly visit firms of overseas attorneys and attend international conferences such as INTA. We also welcome visits from overseas attorneys visiting the UK and we are happy to meet in London or at our main office is in Croydon.
