Education

Jack joined Agile IP LLP in December 2022 as an Associate Patent Attorney. Jack's early intrigue in patent law was sparked during his undergraduate lectures, subsequently leading him to attend multiple seminars and workshops on intellectual property law. He undertook postgraduate research at the University of Huddersfield, focusing on the development and characterisation of novel mucoadhesive polymers for targeted site-specific mucosal drug delivery and forensic applications.

Prior to entering the intellectual property field, Jack demonstrated strong commitment to pharmaceutics during his Master of Pharmacy degree. His research into increasing the solubility of ibuprofen for parenteral delivery shone light on possible solutions specific to paediatric formulations. Jack's unique expertise in pharmaceutical sciences allows him to adeptly serve clients in a range of sectors, including pharmaceuticals, technology, and manufacturing.

In addition to his role at Agile, Jack practices occasionally as a pharmacist and regularly attends pharmaceutical conferences. His dual insight into pharmacy and patent law proves invaluable for an intricate understanding of both sectors. Jack is a member of various professional organisations, including the Royal Pharmaceutical Society, the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys, and the Academy of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Moreover, he actively participates in committee work focusing on wellbeing within CIPA.

Within the firm, Jack is particularly engaged in fostering a culture of excellence and client-centric focus. His commitment to advocacy and representation extends beyond his professional roles; he has served as a representative in various capacities at the University of Huddersfield and is involved in committee work that promotes equality, diversity, and inclusion.

Jack's enthusiasm for intellectual property is matched by his interests outside of work. He is an avid follower of political affairs, enjoys outdoor activities like camping and hiking, and is a founding member and secretary of the Postgraduate Research Science Society at the University of Huddersfield.
